Roadmap

The repository's README names roadmap.yaml as the canonical index of CloudRING's delivery order and status. A goal counts as done only when it works on a live deployment, not when its code is merged.

Releases so far

• v0.1.0-c02.1, 7 September 2026: the development installer and the PostgreSQL-backed API and portal runtime, packaged for live qualification.
• v0.1.0-c01.1, 7 September 2026: the delivery baseline with reproducible, attested release bundles.

Neither is meant for production.

The path to 1.0

Goals are listed in delivery order. Most of them build directly on the ones before, and G23 comes before G22 because G22 depends on it.

CloudRING 1.0 doesn’t depend on multiple regions or on federation. Both come later, and federation stays opt-in.

Rules the roadmap follows

• Goals are finished in dependency order.
• Reusable implementation is open source.
• Every goal is deployed to the project’s own test installation, and every deployment reruns the whole live regression suite.
• Every goal ships a signed prerelease with an SBOM and provenance.
• Scaffolding and test fixtures never count as readiness.
• The last broad security review on the way to 1.0 is goal G27, and every track after 1.0 ends with its own security review.
